EH Chapter 10 - Introductions And A Reunion
Anorax stood at the bow of the ship as it drew closer to the old wooden docks at the pier. Despite knowing that this could be his last chance to have fun and relax with Madalah, this last hour had been exciting for him. He could go with Madalah alone into the woods, explore for a few days, relax, and forget about this whole thing for a while. This thought made him smile, made him relax a little, even excited. He decided that, least for now, he would just concentrate on her. He smiled reassuringly for her as she emerged from the cabins, a smile that she met with a little less enthusiasm, but the same eagerness for a reprieve was there in her e

Harmony isn't everywhere- Chapter 2
Surprisingly enough, Twilight had been quite enthusiastic about accompanying him to Canterlot, and was even willing to talk to Princess Celestia and set it up beforehand. Quill politely refused her offer on the grounds of not wanting to call in favours when they might be better served later on; if he got immediately turned away by the royal guards for example. They agreed to go to Canterlot two days later on when the weekend was finally upon them.
After their weekend travel plans were all decided the team of writers; one veteran and the other fledgling, got to work on brainstorming their collaborative effort. Or at least tried to. Twilight w

Harmony isn't everywhere- Chapter 1
The chilled autumn breeze whistled through the sunset coloured leaves of the apple orchard as clouds drifted lazily overhead. One cloud however, was not like the others, as resting upon the top was a sleeping figure. His snores blended perfectly with the sound of the wind, disguising him from the outside world, just as he had planned. His dark blue wings had curled themselves around his body as he slept, instinctively protecting his blue shirt clad chest from the cold.
Not awakening from his slumber, he rolled over; the edge of the cloud breaking away under his weight. Under his own design, that particular cloud was significantly lower than

Harmony isn't everywhere- Chapter 3
Quill Scratch lazily opened his eyes, blinking away the tiredness as his body started to scream out in protest from every small movement from his joints. He hadn’t worked out that intensely in such a long time and as he eased himself upright, he could swear he had gained muscle, but the voice in the back of his mind told him that it was just wishful thinking. He got to his feet and made his way over to the window, pausing only to wonder how he had gotten changed into his pyjamas.
Pushing the window open, he let out a relaxed sigh at the rush of cold air that hit his face. When he tried to spread his wings however, he found them bound t

The Luna Diaries- Entry 14
Dear Diary,
We left our makeshift campsite not long after dawn, with not a single pony unhappy with the adventure. Since it was our last day in Trottingham, we were given free reign over what we did, as long as we stayed within our groups and didn’t do anything dangerous or against the law. All of us, even Sly, agreed to go down the main street and explore the multitude of stores that lined the cobblestone street. Each one had previously been a store in older times, and most of them had kept that same aesthetic. Aurora, Nebula and I ducked into a book store while Sunbeam, Sly and Miss PrimProse went into a souvenir shop that was next d

The Luna Diaries- Entry 15
Dear Diary,
Well I have to say, I’m thoroughly disappointed. I spent all weekend scouring the archives for any mention of the Ponehenge stones and well… I found it. Turns out that Ponehenge was an outdoor fast food restaurant that had been owned my zebras.
Yep.
So they had it set up so ponies in carriages would walk up to the first window and order what they wanted, and then move on to the next window, where they would be given their food. I also found out how they got the stones to the site; Zebrasai. A.K.A Pegasus zebras. They tethered the stones to themselves and then rested on clouds for the journey. They got shut down by

The Luna Diaries- Entry 16
Dear Diary,
I talked to Tia today, and it seemed to go well. I’ve learnt since I got back that the easiest time to talk to Tia is during meals because she is… preoccupied. So during breakfast I asked her to speak to Shining Armour about the way the day guards are treating my night guards. She promised to do so, but her tone sounded insincere. I pray that she isn’t telling me this only to placate me and make me forget about it all.
I was determined to make sure that some action was taken, so I personally headed out to the guard house to talk to Shining Armour. I was in my disguise at the time and I found out something very

The Luna Diaries- Entry 17
Dear Diary,
This morning at breakfast I finally built up enough courage to show Tia my first term results. Her reaction was so unexpectedly positive that I started to wonder if she had known before hand and rehearsed what she was going to say. For the first time in weeks, she gave me a hug and told me how proud she was. I’m a little embarrassed to admit this but it was difficult for me to keep my composure as she coddled me. I could see Shining Armour snickering in my periphery, but a stern look instantly silenced him. Just as I was leaving for school, Tia promised that she would have a surprise waiting for me when I got home, which ma

The Luna Diaries- Entry 18
Dear Diary,
I woke up in the observatory this morning, wrapped in my sister’s forelegs. She had been up for a few hours at that point, having had to raise the sun. I felt considerably better than I had since my return, stronger, more at peace with everything. When I eventually got in front of a mirror, I was pleased to discover that newfound connection with the energy of the night had had a more… cosmetic change on my body.
My mane was now much darker in colour and moved on its own accord, much like Tia’s did. It hadn’t gotten any longer but I surmise that continued contact with my old friend the moon would restore

SCSD Chapter 4 - The Next Step part 1
It's not always as simple as it seems, taking care of children. The strain, the stress. It can really bring you down, you know? Sometimes, if you're not careful, if you don't take care of yourself and give yourself a rest now and then, something is bound to break. Two years ago, I let that happen, and it was almost the end of me. I was so careless...I don't think little Cheerilee would've forgiven me if I hadn't taken that vacation.
I guess it was the right thing to do, because when I came back, I found a surprise waiting for me. Two weeks...that's all it took. Those little children cared so much for me, that they went out into the town and
